The mobile conflict laboratory
What if freedom is based on seeing perspectives?
Based on the rich experience of an autobiographical conflict labo in 2018, LICHTERLOH opens in 2020 a mobile conflict laboratory:
Together with contemporary dancers we embody acute conflicts based on person-centered and systemic constellations and free forms of constellation-work (in development in our labs). This process happens in the middle and in interaction with witnesses – not spectators – who are invited to co-create a space, where the conflict-constellations happen, to intervene and rearrange constellations and to express so gained perspectives. In this way we investigate the ‘mobility’ of conflicts and where they and we can move. It is a mobile conflict-laboratory, because we work in places where people themselves are immobile and somehow disconnected, e.g. in old people’s homes, psychiatry, refugee centers, prisons etc. Mobile, because we travel to different countries.
In February we were invited by vzw-KAOS for 10 days to the Psychosocial-Centre-St-Alexius-Brussels. In June Juliane was supposed to participate at the El-Junio-Festival in Ecuador, this time in collaboration with local dancers in a prison. The conflict-laboratory evolves and transforms depending on the context and constellations with every residency.
The autobiographical conflict laboratory in 2018
In 2018, LICHTERLOH realized a conflict laboratory together with 18 artists from the disciplines dance, theatre, circus, performers & film. We had 5 labs and 50 days in total. In these laboratories we researched the same autobiographical family conflict, based on constellation work in combination with divers artistic forms of expression that we developed. This autobiographical conflict laboratory formed the material of the interdisciplinary creation called ‘Ernst’, premiere 2019 (co-production and performances among others at Staatstheater Augsburg (DE), C-Takt, 30 CC Leuven, Pianofabriek Brussels).
